This is one of my students have tried to do with their Social Studies Project. The topic is actually about weather and climate; what are the elements of weather, how to measure weather, the climate zone in the world. But the goal setting for the topic is to find out how far the students understood about identifying the impact of weather and climate change to living things especially to man kind.

It was amazing reading their opinions in the written test. They can produce at least 10 lines about how to save the earth from global warming and how to overcome the matter. This is what the students need, not only memorizing the facts about geography. It is important to know the elements and subject material. But the most important thing is how the students could apply their knowledge to their society and environment.

This activity give the students chance to be the subject of the learning process. It is the students who are having the learning proces, searching the information and try to rearrange what they knew into a new media. They are having a creation of showing their creativity.
